Community Education Grants

We are keenly aware of the need for educators to improve student learning. Beta Nu members have dedicated themselves to helping fulfill the purposes of our society by supporting well-trained educators in promoting excellence in scholarship and education.
To this end, grants will be given to non-profit agencies for educational projects serving people living in areas served by the Sequim and Port Angeles School districts.
Grants will be awarded on a one-time basis, but consideration will be given to recurring projects. Applying agencies must serve people living in areas served by the Sequim and Port Angeles School Districts. The specified project must be carried out under the direction of a qualified educator.
The grants are given in memory of Isabelle Whitfield, Helen Haller Heimbaugh, and Helen Gariepy, longtime educators in Clallam County and members of Beta Nu Chapter.

Notice: Please be advised that the Community Education grants will be discontinued after the next round. That is, the last day for applications to be received by Beta Nu is October 15, 2019. This is due to our decreasing resources. Beta Nu wishes to make sure that prospective applicants know about this and do not depend on resources that Beta Nu may or may not provide in the future. No guarantees are provided to applicants and applicants should not automatically expect awards even if all application criteria have been met.
